McCain made a little blunder - when a reporter asked how many homes he owned, he didn't know the answer (he doesn't actually own any, his wife owns them all). Obama seized on this, of course, on the campaign trail. Does Obama really want to get into a discussion on homes and elitism? Did McCain ever get a great deal on property from a convicted felon? Who was it that claimed that rural voters are bitter people who cling to "guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren't like them"? Obama's really just a regular Joe, isn't he? He only made $4 million last year (and gave less than 1% of his income to charity from 2000-04).

Consdering McCain's net worth is 36.4 million, and Obama's is 800,000 I think it might not be a bad strategy to engage in a discussion on homes and elitism. We could bring up Cindy saying the only way to get around Arizona is by private jet, etc.
I notice your blog mirrors McCain's advertising campaign, which is heavy on criticizing Obama and light on providing positives for McCain. We'll see if that strategy pays off, but it's not so far in Michigan, where Obama holds a roughly 6 point lead.
Which brings up how annoying all the focus on national polls is-the electoral college is what matters, and there Obama has a commanding lead. I just wish the doggone liberal media would focus on that a little more.
You're definitely right being a little heavy on the negative about Obama. It's tough to avoid when I feel that Obama's policies would be an absolute disaster and when some are downright evil (infanticide). It would be easier for me to praise McCain if he was a supporter of the free market and the first amendment (campaign finance reform), and if he had his head on straight on illegal immigration and energy policy (cap and trade).
As for the electoral math, Obama has a rather narrow lead. If McCain wins Virginia (currently tied) and Michigan, McCain probably wins. If McCain taps Romney as his VP, his strong economic credentials could carry the day in Michigan, as the voters reject the failed Democratic policies that are helping to ruin the state's economy. Also, if you're a local Dem big shot, it's hard to campaign for Obama if you're in jail.
