Obama's Disturbing Advisor

I've commented before on Barack Obama's Muslim ties (he was raised as a Muslim by two Muslim fathers and attended a Muslim school). He became a Christian 20 years ago (if you call it that, as he believes all religions lead to heaven and there is no hell), but there's new, disturbing information on his church.

Obama joined the Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago in 1991. He then pledged allegiance to the "Black Value System," which advocates socialism and black nationalism. The church encourages blacks to separate from American society, pool their money, only patronize black-owned businesses and only vote for black political leaders. The ethics system tells blacks to avoid white "entrapment of black middle-classness," which will keep them "captive" to white culture. Rev. Jeremiah Wright is Obama's spiritual advisor and "sounding board" during the election. The man who married Obama and baptized his children is also a huge supporter of black supremacist Louis Farrakhan, who accused the US government of blowing up the levees in New Orleans to kill blacks and is fond of calling whites "blue-eyed devils." Rev. Wright traveled to Libya with Farrakhan to meet with terrorist leader Muammar Qaddafi and called the 9/11 attacks a "wake-up call" to "white America" for ignoring people of color.

Obama says his faith has led him to question "the idolatry of the free market." Obama needs to answer for the radical and dangerous ideas he has pledged to support.

*Yawn*

Yawn? At least defend the man or something. Aren't these ideas clearly anti-American? Obama has pledged to uphold these values - is that a positive thing in your book?

I'm confused by the apparent apathy of the anonymous reader. They are apparently not interested in this post, yet they have apparently read it, and taken the time to sign into blogger, type in your word verification, and type the phrase "Yawn".

Also- I love anonymous posts- all the fun of making a stance with none of the responsibility to live up to. Truly a courageous action.

By the way- if any white public figure called African Americans "brown eyed devils" don't you think there'd be public outcry? Why is there none for a black man calling the white man "blue eyed devils?".

The racial double standard in America surfaces again. I'm just glad my eyes are hazel.

If Mike Huckabee had a spiritual advisor that was a white supremacist, I'm guessing a few reporters would look into that.

Or maybe you're overreacting, both in terms of Obama's church affiliation, and your preoccupation with his supposed Muslim roots:

You're a part of a denomination that celebrates it's own cultural and ethnic heritage, which often encourages it's members to vote for white Republican candidates, and whose members certainly support each others businesses and schools.

So I guess it's unclear to me how the fact that Obama attends a black church which encourages it's members to vote for black candidates and patronize black-owned businesses is so offensive to you.

I didn't get this information on Obama's church from an email forward, I link to a reputable source. There is no possible excuse for supporting Farrakhan. 9/11 was an attack on all Americans, not just whitey. Obama says his faith has caused him to question "the idolatry of the free market." This is repulsive to me -the free market is essential to freedom in general and has made this country great. In all the church services I've attended, I don't think I've ever been told to vote for a candidate because he/she was white. Sorry for the delayed response, I haven't been home much in the last 5 days.
